Police say a man was killed in a two-car crash in Shirley on Wednesday night.

Police say Angel Espiet was driving westbound on Montauk Highway, near Smith Road, when his vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and struck another car traveling eastbound.

Espiet, 26, of Bellport, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle involved, Dylan O’Brien, 24, and passenger Marissa Joynt, 23, of Shirley, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
