Fatal Unionport hit-and-run prompts implementation of bus-restricted areas
A fatal hit-and-run in Unionport has prompted the implementation of restrictions on what streets buses are allowed.
Agnes Edgan, 68, was hit and killed by a school bus on Havemeyer and Story avenues earlier this month. Surveillance video shows Edgan crossing the street when a school bus hits and kills her.

Police say the driver of that bus didn't get out to help and took off.
Now, there are signs on Havemeyer Ave. that state no buses are allowed. Neighbors say they still see tons of buses cutting through to get to the nearby bus depot.
Police tell News 12 the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
