Police are searching for the man accused of assaulting and stealing a woman's wallet inside a subway station in Mount Eden.

Police: Woman put in chokehold, robbed at Mount Eden subway station
Police are searching for the man accused of assaulting and stealing a woman's wallet inside a subway station in Mount Eden.
Investigators say it happened on Saturday around 9:15 a.m. as the 35-year-old victim was on the stairs inside the B and D station on 170th street.
The victim then told police the suspect placed her in a chokehold, punched her in the face and stole her wallet.
According to investigators, the suspect got away with multiple credit cards and cash before fleeing onto the street.
Police released surveillance video of the man they're looking for. He is believed to be between 50 and 60 years old.
Officials say the victim suffered from some bruising.  
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
