Prosecutor: Man used 18-year-old’s personal information on dating websites

The Bergen County prosecutor says a man from Lodi used an 18-year-old's personal information to create fictitious social media accounts on dating and romance websites and apps.

Prosecutor: Man used 18-year-old’s personal information on dating websites
The Bergen County prosecutor says a man from Lodi used an 18-year-old's personal information to create fictitious social media accounts on dating and romance websites and apps.
Matthew Bolger Jr. was arrested Friday, and face charges of impersonation, cyber harassment and stalking.
According to the prosecutor, Bolger created and used at least two online accounts for several months, portraying himself as the victim.
On at least one occasion, he attempted to make plans to meet a male stranger from the Internet, while impersonating the victim and revealing the victim's personal identifying information.
Bolger is being held at the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court.
