Dancing beyond disabilities: Wheelchair-bound couple proves anyone can dance
One wheelchair-bound a couple is proving you don’t need to be able to stand on two feet to dance.
The couple regularly takes classes at a Manhattan dance studio that gives everyone a chance to shine.
The Access Project is a unique gym experience for people with disabilities.
The couple says they met at a class that brain tumor survivor Zazel O’Garra was teaching.
The couple says that despite being wheelchair-bound, dancing allows for inclusion, especially in one of O’Garra’s classes.
“The best thing about the dance is no matter your ability, you can be the slowest, you can be uncoordinated, you're always included,” says Jose Hernandez.
