An early morning multi-car crash on the Major Deegan Expressway left three people hospitalized.

First responders say those three patients are in stable condition at Lincoln Hospital.

According to EMS, a call came in for the crash at 1 a.m.

Video from users posting to the Citizen app shows wrecked cars taking up almost two lanes and backing up traffic.

All lanes are now open and traffic is running smoothly ahead of the rush hour commute.

It is unclear what caused the accident.
