A pursuit that started on the Long Island Expressway ended in a police-involved crash on the Northern State Parkway.
It started when an officer saw a vehicle driving on the shoulder of the LIE just before 10 a.m. Friday, according to Nassau County police.
They say the officer followed the driver onto the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway then onto the Northern State Parkway. That's when the suspect allegedly sideswiped the police cruiser and then flipped.
The police officer was not injured, but the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There is no word yet on any possible charges.
