The unofficial start of the summer season on Memorial Day brought plenty of beachgoers, barbecues and backyard fun.
Surfers made their way to Gilgo Beach to catch some waves and enjoy the summer-like temperatures.
Cedar Beach was also a popular spot, where relaxation and games of volleyball were popular choices.
"We had a long winter, it's been a beautiful weekend so we are blessed that we had a great weekend with family and friends," says Robert Ramirez, of Queens.
