The NYPD released images of the suspects, who they say cut a hole into the roof to gain access.
The pair allegedly first broke into a meat market on West 183rd Street and Aqueduct Avenue Monday around 4 a.m.
However, officials say the two men, both wearing face masks, realized they were in the wrong building and made another hole next door at the check cashing store.
Once inside, police say the men used power tools to open the store's safe. News 12 is told the men got away with $66,000.
