An illustrator who grew up as a graffiti artist stopped by the South Bronx Police Athletic League on Tuesday to read to children there.
As part of Jet Blue's "Soar with Reading" initiative, which makes free books available to children in all five boroughs through vending machines, Frank Morrison visited the PAL as a guest reader. Morrison recently illustrated the book, "The Roots of Rap."
Morrison is the first guest speaker for the airline's program, but JetBlue representatives say they look forward to hosting similar events in the future.
