A person is in custody and another is in the hospital after a shooting in Bensonhurst Sunday.

Police called to 1937 85th St. around 8:45 p.m. after a 60-year-old woman and her 70-year-old brother-in-law got into an argument.

Although they wouldn’t say what the argument was about, Officials say the brother-in-law allegedly shot the woman.

She was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the pelvis area and is listed in stable condition.

News 12 is told the woman's brother-in-law was taken into custody at the scene and is expected to be charged.
