A Bridgeport public house complex was the site of a targeted attack resulting in 33 gunshots ringing out Tuesday evening, police said.

Police Chief AJ Perez spent the morning surveying the damage to vehicles at Crescent Crossings and said investigators have a suspect in mind.

"We're not going to tolerate this act of violence here or anywhere…in the city of Bridgeport," said Perez.

There were no injuries, but residents told News 12 they were shaken. Crescent Crossings has a reputation as being among the nicest complexes in the city.

"I'm grateful to have a nice, quiet, clean place to live,” said Russel Billingslea. “…I don't want to have to move because of the senseless violence going on."

Police said they are going to examine surveillance video. Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police at 203-581-5100.
