A college student originally from Boston has been accused of planning a mass shooting in North Carolina.
According to police, 19-year-old Paul Steber, of High Point University, had two guns and ammunition in his dorm room.
The school says it was told about his weapons from other students, leading to his arrest Tuesday.
Court documents say Steber had been researching and watching videos related to mass shootings for months. He moved from Boston to North Carolina because it's easier to get guns.
Steber is being held on $2 million bond and is scheduled to return to court in November.
High Point University President Dr. Nido Qubein addressed the situation in a YouTube video to students.
"We want to assure you that we are taking the matter very seriously and that we communicate with you as we can," Qubein said.
