Four of five defendants were found guilty of gang assault in the 2016 beating death of a man outside a Kingsbridge restaurant.
Jariel Pichardo, Kendall Guillory, Jenny Gutierrez and Joel Hernandez were found guilty in the death of Donell Soto. A fifth man, Hector Quezada, was acquitted.
Soto died days after he got into an argument and physical fight with the group outside of the Parrilla Latina restaurant on Oct. 2, 2016.
They all had claimed they acted in self-defense and that Soto had pushed one of them.
Soto landed in a coma as a result of the beating and died days later.
Pichardo, Guillory, Gutierrez and Hernandez face five to 25 years in prison. Sentencing is Oct. 28.
Soto's mother told News 12 the trial has been a nightmare.
"I keep waiting for him by the window thinking he will come back home. I just want justice for my son," said Alicia Soto.
