State police, as well as police in Old Tappan, are searching for a man who tried to lure a 13-year-old boy into his car.

State police released a sketch of the man they want to find.

According to investigators, the man pulled up alongside the boy in Old Tappan Tuesday and tried to get him in his car as the boy was walking home from school.

Investigators say he was driving a dark-colored sedan and tried to strike up a conversation about the Yankees with the boy.

The boy immediately ran away and called his parents.

The suspect is being described as a white male in his 40s with dark hair, dark sunglasses and a goatee.
