A man has been arrested on charges of drunk driving following a car crash in Coram.

Police say the crash happened on Route 112 near Middle Country Road shortly after midnight.

According to police, the driver of an SUV lost control, left the roadway, and hit a retaining wall and building.

Jonathan Lorenzo, 21, of Medford, was arrested.

Police say inside the car was his 16-month-old son and the little boy’s mother.

They were not seriously hurt.

Because there was a minor in the car, the normal drunk driving charges were upgraded to a felony charge under Leandra's Law.
