Housatonic River Brewing in New Milford is a hand-built space that is half mountain cabin and half open-beer garden.

Founder Dave Littlefield says he first owned a brewery in California 25 years ago before the craft brew craze took off.

The brewing at Housatonic River Brewing is a one-man operation with limited space. But limited quantity does not mean limited quality. Littlefield says the small batches just mean there is always fresh product on tap. This gives the brewery flexibility to experiment with new and different styles every day.

The brewery has a Mug Club with over 300 members. When people come in, they can try something different every time.
